Trio ClariNoir

The ClariNoir trio tours the streets, countries and metropolises with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, from Vienna to Los Angeles and from New York to Odessa, inviting the young prodigy to get to know the music of our time. And of course he cannot resist a musical intervention from time to time!

Ivo and Ilja Ruf founded the clarinet trio Clamor Hospes with Nikolai Gast in autumn 2013 and attended the Nordland Kammermusikkurs in Rendsburg in January 2014. Following successes in the regional and state competition of Jugend Musiziert, the young trio won the Hamburg Airport Audience Prize at a prize-winners concert in Norderstedt in April 2014. The ensemble went on to the national competition of Jugend Musiziert in June 2014, receiving first prize with the highest score. On the back of this success, the young musicians were invited to the Jugend Musiziert Sonderwettbewerben (WESPE) Klassikpreis Münster and Zeitgenössische Musik Neubrandenburg in September 2014. At the end of 2014, the young musicians changed their name to Trio ClariNoir. At the start of the new year they performed excerpts from their new programme in various concerts, including Cismar Abbey and the NDR radio church service broadcast from St. Jakobi. They expanded their repertoire to concert length and performed their first full-length programme of classical to klezmer, tango, swing, film music and New Music in June 2015.
