GermanPops Orchestra

The GermanPops Orchestra , Germany 's 1st Crossover Orchestra, has worked since 1999 in the border area of classical, pop , rock, film , jazz and world music. The album " Paquito D' Rivera - The Clarinetist " was nominated for the Grammy Award in the category " Best Classical Crossover Album " in Los Angeles ,2002 .
The Highlights of GermanPops Orchestra were the concerts with the German band PUR 2004 and 2007 at the Arena Stadium/Schalke , each with 70,000 spectators. There have been unforgettable projects with Sir Paul McCartney, Jon Lord or Silje Nergaard.
The GermanPops Orchestra, directed by its founder Bernd Ruf, is made up of musicians whose daily repertoire  goes from classic to pop.
The musicians come from all over Germany, Stuttgart, Cologne, Munich, Hamburg and Berlin. They are one of the leading specialists of the crossover .
